IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS
For the vocal audition, please prepare 45 seconds of a song to sing with an accompanist, as well as memorize the first verse of “My Country Tis of Thee” to sing acapella. Make sure to have sheet music for your accompanist and know the tempo (speed) of your song. If you don’t have sheet music, check out musicnotes.com. Please dress up as you would for an interview.
There will be an ear test/sight reading audition. For this, we are checking for pitch recall, finding the middle note in a triad chord, and simple “level 1” sight reading.
For the dance audition, the dancing is intentionally the hardest dancing we do. We are looking for attitude while learning, improvement in the specific choreography over the course of the audition, and memory of choreography by the end of the audition. Please bring clothes and shoes conducive to dancing.
If you have any questions please email email@example.com or call/text Julie Less at 760-450-6816.
Smile Big! Dance Hard! Sing Out! Have fun!
